Terms & Conditions

The following terms and conditions apply to our client services:

Consulting

Payment

New Clients

All new clients are required to pay 100% of the total fees payable in advance of the services commencing.

Existing Clients

Unless agreed with The Thinking Business, all existing clients must pay an advance payment of 50% of the total fee is payable prior to the work commencing. The remaining fees will be invoiced on a monthly basis to cover the cost of the work undertaken during that month. Tax invoices will be issued to the main client contact.

Cancellations

The following cancellation charges will be incurred if consultancy projects are cancelled:

More than 30 days notice – no cancellation charge
Less than 30 days – 100% cancellation charge

Expenses and VAT

All expenses incurred relating to the consultancy/facilitation project will be charged at cost, including travel, accommodation, meals and postage.

Vat will be charged at the current rate.


In-House Training Courses

Payment

Payment for training programmes is payable in full at least 7 days prior to the training event in order to secure the date.

Training Fee

The Thinking Business will confirm the training fee and maximum number of delegates at the time of booking. In the event that additional delegates attend the training, they will each be charged an ‘extra delegate’ fee of 10% of the total training fee. For example, if the training costs £2,000 for a maximum of 10 delegates, additional delegates will be charged £200 each.

Cancellations

The following cancellation charges will be incurred if training courses are

cancelled:

More than 30 days notice – no cancellation charge**
Less than 30 days – 100% cancellation charge**

*Date changes are not permitted. In exceptional circumstances, Jayne Cormie at The Thinking Business Limited may agree to reschedule the date in the event of a cancellation but a 50% cancellation charge will be incurred to rebook the date. If the rescheduled date is cancelled at any time, 100% cancellation charge will be incurred.

**Any non-refundable travel expenses incurred by The Thinking Business prior to the training will be charged to the client in the event that the training is cancelled at any time.

All expenses incurred relating to the training will be charged at cost, including travel, accommodation, meals and postage.

Training Venue Costs

The client is responsible for sourcing, booking and organising the training course venue unless an alternative arrangement is agreed in writing with The Thinking Business. The client will directly pay the venue for all costs incurred.

Vat will be charged at the current rate.


Public Training Courses

Payment

Payment for public training programmes must be paid in full in advance prior to the course date to secure the booking.

The training fee includes a training manual, lunch and refreshments unless otherwise stated.

Cancellations

The following cancellation charges will be incurred:

More than 30 days notice – no cancellation charge
Less than 30 days notice – 100% cancellation charge

Note: The Thinking Business Limited reserves the right to cancel/reschedule the training course at any time. In this event, delegates who have booked and paid for the course will be given a full refund or the option to re-book onto a future course.


Facilitation

Payment for facilitation services is payable in full at least 7 days prior to the event in order to secure the date.

Cancellations

The following cancellation charges will be incurred if facilitation sessions are cancelled:

More than 30 days notice – no cancellation charge
Less than 30 days notice – 100% cancellation charge

Expenses and VAT

All expenses incurred relating to the facilitation session will be charged at cost, including travel, accommodation, meals and postage.

Vat will be charged at the current rate.


International Business – consulting and training

International work (outside the UK) must be paid in full at least 4 weeks in advance of the consulting/training to secure any dates and prior to flights and accommodation being booked. If payment is not received in advance, all consulting/training work will be cancelled. In this circumstance, any expenses incurred by The Thinking Business must be paid in full by the client.


Note: Travel Expenses

All travel expenses are charged at cost. Short haul air travel (less than 2 hours) is booked in Economy class. Air travel over 2 hours in duration is booked in Business class.
