Jayne Cormie ~ Founder & Managing Director

Jayne is the Founder and Managing Director of The Thinking Business. Her career began more than 20 years ago in the corporate environment working in commercial sales and marketing for United Biscuits within the confectionary division, Terry’s of York. She has also worked as a management consultant for Heinz and Rank Hovis McDougall.

Since starting The Thinking Business in 2000, Jayne has focused her career on serving her clients needs, researching the brain, thinking and creativity and growing the business. She is passionately committed to helping individuals, teams and organisations learn how to think better, smarter and more creatively in order that can achieve their full potential. She endeavours to create inspiring and stimulating training environments within which her clients feel relaxed to learn new things, try out new tools and apply new knowledge free from the pressures of social expectations and the fear of failure.

Jayne’s academic credentials include a Bachelor of Education (Honours) degree and a Master of Business Administration degree from Henley Management College. She is also a graduate of the Disney Institute in Creativity and Innovation.

Jayne is licensed by Tony Buzan to provide training in the world famous Mind Mapping® technique, speed reading, memory skills and accelerated learning. She was trained by and has co-trained with Tony and is a huge supporter of his work in business and education.

She is also an accredited consultant of the Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument (HBDI).
